Mission Critical Group Expands to Montgomery County With New Manufacturing Facility

Mission Critical Group is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Southeastern Pennsylvania. As part of that growth, the Texas-based company has leased a 266,000-square-foot facility in Harleysville.

The company will occupy the entire building at 1600 Delp Drive. Completed in 2025, the facility was developed on a speculative basis by High Street Logistics Properties.

Rather than using the space for distribution, Mission Critical Group plans to manufacture electrical infrastructure equipment. Specifically, the facility will support production for data centers, utility providers, healthcare systems, and other power-intensive industries.

Limited operations began earlier this year. Meanwhile, the company plans to add approximately 300 employees in phases. Hiring will focus on manufacturing, production, engineering, supply chain, and skilled trades positions, including electrical and welding professionals.

The Harleysville location strengthens the company’s presence in the Philadelphia region. In addition to this new facility, Mission Critical Group operates locations in North Wales and West Chester through its DVM Power & Control subsidiary.

Demand for power infrastructure continues to rise as data center development accelerates nationwide. Consequently, manufacturers serving the sector have expanded capacity to support growing customer requirements.

Mission Critical Group has experienced significant growth in recent years. Since the beginning of 2025, the company has completed multiple acquisitions and expanded its workforce to more than 1,800 employees nationwide.

Today, the company operates approximately 1.7 million square feet of manufacturing, distribution, and service space across the United States. Its product offerings include switchgear, switchboards, generators, and microgrid systems.

Notably, the expansion comes as Southeastern Pennsylvania’s industrial market faces elevated vacancy levels. Even so, specialized manufacturing users continue pursuing strategic locations that provide access to labor, transportation infrastructure, and major population centers.

With the addition of the Harleysville facility, Mission Critical Group is further positioning itself to capitalize on growing demand tied to data center and power infrastructure investment.
