Amazon Plans to Demolish Office Building in KOP for New Warehouse

Amazon plans to demolish KOP office building for new warehouse

Amazon.com Inc. plans to demolish a vacant office building in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The company will replace it with a 99,300-square-foot warehouse.

The facility is planned for 760 Moore Road, just off West Valley Forge Road. The site sits near Route 422, I-276, and I-76, offering strong regional access.

The warehouse will serve as a last-mile delivery station. It will support deliveries throughout Montgomery and Chester counties, according to company officials.

Amazon plans to use its electric vehicle fleet at the site. The move aligns with the company’s broader sustainability goals.

Plans call for the demolition of a 260,000-square-foot office building on the 25-acre property. The building has remained vacant for several years.

Amazon purchased the site in June 2021 for $26.5 million, according to county records. The property has traded hands multiple times over the past two decades.

Despite owning the site for nearly five years, Amazon had not advanced development until now. The proposal reflects renewed demand for last-mile industrial space in the King of Prussia market.

The plans were submitted as Amazon announced significant job cuts nationally. However, the King of Prussia project signals continued investment in logistics infrastructure.
